About the Role:
As a Secondary Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teaching staff to support students with autism across a range of subjects and activities. Your role will be pivotal in helping students access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and build confidence in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to students with ASD in classroom and small group settings
2. Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
3. Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
4. Support students during transitions and unstructured times
5. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
