It is an exciting time to join the Planning Service at Enfield Council. Recently shortlisted to host a New Town, progressing an ambitious Local Plan to adoption and delivering council led housing at Meridian Water and throughout the borough the Planning Service and Urban Design and Heritage team is well positioned to enable this good growth. We are now embarking on a new phase of regeneration and placemaking, with the Council taking a confident role in making things happen.
As we progress with our new Local Plan, a number of significant development proposals are lining up to progress through the planning process some led by the Council, others by private developers - and our multidisciplinary team is helping to get the most out of these projects.
This role is a great opportunity to join an ambitious team of urban designers and conservation specialists. You will provide proactive design advice as part of Planning Performance Agreements, pre-applications and planning applications and work with colleagues across the Planning Service, Enfields Design Review Panel, developers, agents and communities to help deliver positive outcomes for Enfield. You will also be involved in implementing Enfields emerging Local Plan, growth strategies, corporate projects and housing delivery.
