Introduction to the Assurance & Business Service team at S&W.
Many businesses need to reassure investors and other stakeholders of their financial performance, even where a full audit isn’t necessary, appropriate, or required by law. The team provides Assurance & Business Services to a diverse client base, ranging from small businesses and startups to non-profit organizations, both in the UK and internationally.
What will you be doing?
As part of our Assurance & Business Services team, you will work directly with client finance teams at varying levels of seniority, from Accounts Assistants to Financial Directors. Your environment will differ per engagement, either at client offices or at S&W offices, providing assurance, advice, and solutions. You will gain exposure to various businesses, developing the skills needed to be an effective auditor and trusted adviser. You will also receive professional training while studying for the ACA qualification, gaining comprehensive technical knowledge of audit, accountancy, and financial advisory services.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Undertaking a variety of audit and accountancy tasks as part of a team
* Developing an understanding of clients and their business portfolios
* Keeping senior stakeholders informed of project updates
* Familiarizing yourself with audit and accounting software
* Resolving queries related to audits and accounts
* Prioritizing tasks and monitoring time against budgets
To Be Successful In This Role, You Should
* Be committed to completing the ACA qualification via a Level 7 apprenticeship
* Have a predicted or achieved minimum of 112 UCAS points in top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies
* Have a minimum Grade 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths at GCSE
