Warehouse Manager
Dover Fueling Solutions, Broughty Ferry, Dundee (on-site)
Full time, Permanent position - 37.5 hours per week
Salary - dependent on experience

The Warehouse Manager will provide comprehensive leadership, strategic vision, operational management, P&L accountability, as well as strategic leadership to the warehouse team. The warehouse manager will mange and analyse all warehouse activities including analysing materials management and logistics performance, managing inventory transactions, managing cycle and physical counts, configuring warehouse setup, and reviewing inventory balances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply best practices and working methods to always ensure a safe working environment
* Drive world class stock accuracy across the full site to ensure on time delivery of material to production lines and sub assembly cells.
* Nurture a high-performance culture throughout the workforce, dedicated to achieving stretched results
* Commit to the requirements of customer demand, specify the required resources and be accountable for the results
* Establish, manage and develop day to day priorities for the process and direct reports
* Organise workflow to meet specifications and deadlines per the business plan
* Establish and manage the cost control budget for area equipment, people etc.
* Calculate operational metrics and analyse progress against targets; ensure Value Stream Leaders are aligned with analysis
* Lead, develop and promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
* Provide consistent and thorough measurement and reporting of performance through scorecards, KPI’s and Tier Accountability
* Coach direct reports to perform highly in all aspects of role expectations, including safety, quality and delivery and manage performance where there are gaps
Candidate Experience and Qualification:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar position within a manufacturing environment is essential
* Experience of continuous improvement/ lean manufacturing / 6 Sigma tools and techniques particularly relating to waste elimination
* A proven record of driving and maintain stock accuracy improvement projects
* A proven record of successfully managing and developing a multi-skilled warehouse team
* Experience in financial and budgetary planning at department level
Skills & Knowledge:
* Ability to deal with people at all levels (shop floor – senior management)
* Strong IT skills (Oracle system knowledge is essential)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
* Good problem-solving skills combined with an innovative approach
* Strong influencing leadership, coaching and people development skills
* Excellent production planning and coordinating skills
