The Job Summary: Wrightbus, Europe's fastest-growing production company, is seeking a skilled Calibration Technician. You'll handle calibration, testing, and equipment maintenance to meet ISO 9001, industry, and regulatory standards, while coordinating external service providers. Strong technical expertise, sharp organizational skills, and a dedication to quality and precision are essential. The Role: Key Tasks: Perform routine and non-routine calibration of instruments and equipment according to documented procedures and traceable to national/international standards (e.g., UKAS, ISO 17025, NIST). Maintain and manage calibration schedules and ensure timely calibration of all tools and instruments. Maintain accurate calibration records, certificates, and documentation in compliance with ISO 9001, company procedures and regulatory requirements. Identify and troubleshoot equipment that is out of tolerance or malfunctioning; recommend corrective actions as needed. Review and develop calibration procedures and work instructions. Use calibration software and electronic tools for data entry and reporting. Support audits and inspections by providing calibration data and documentation. Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to maintain equipment reliability and traceability. Skills Proficient in using hand tools, calibration instruments, and precision measurement devices (e.g., torque tools, calipers, micrometers, multimeters, thickness gauges) Strong understanding of measurement principles, uncertainty, and quality standards Excellent documentation and organizational skills Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and datasheets Knowledge of calibration software and Microsoft Office Suite Requirements HNC/HND in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field OR An apprenticeship qualification 2 Years hands on experience in calibration or metrology Ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions Strong understanding of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and defect analysis.
