Our Recruitment Manager is responsible for the design and delivery of recruitment that meets CareCo's evolving needs. This position plays a hands-on role in sourcing, engaging, and onboarding diverse talent, while also shaping recruitment processes and supporting workforce planning and personally driving key hires, coaching managers on best practice, and leading the recruitment function.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours over a Monday to Friday week, based out of CareCo's Braintree site.

What are my responsibilities?

* Develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and talent needs. Analyse market trends to refine sourcing tactics and workforce planning.
* Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing recruitment team. Establish performance metrics, provide ongoing training, and ensure the team are equipped with the best tools and practices.
* Manage, support, and develop your direct reports through regular feedback, one to ones, and clearly set goals. Foster a collaborative approach and ensure they have the tools and knowledge to succeed.
* Oversee the development of diverse sourcing strategies, including online job boards, social media and professional networks. Using analytics, optimise sourcing channels and improve candidate pipelines.
* Proactively source candidates through direct channels, building a sustainable talent pipeline and reducing dependence on reactive recruitment.
* Enhance and maintain a seamless candidate experience from initial contact through to onboarding. Ensure timely communication with candidates and high levels of engagement throughout the recruitment process.
* Work closely with department heads and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop tailored recruitment plans.
* Coach hiring managers on best practice, provide constructive feedback, and hold stakeholders accountable for a consistent, timely, and inclusive hiring process.
* Maintain an up-to-date job description library in partnership with stakeholders, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with evolving business needs.
* Oversee recruitment marketing initiatives, participate in career fairs, and implement external programmes to promote the organisation's culture.
* Review and optimise recruitment processes and tools for efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and cost-per-hire.
* Ensure recruitment practices comply with legal requirements and uphold the company's standards of Equality, equity, diversity and inclusion. Stay informed about industry's best practices and emerging trends in talent acquisition.
* Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of the recruitment module within our HR system.

What qualifications & skills are required of me?

* CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or working towards is desirable but not essential.
* GCSE C/5 or above in English & Math's.
* 5+ years' experience in recruitment, demonstrating success in either agency or internal roles, ideally with exposure to both.
* Proven track record of managing end-to-end recruitment processes in a multi-site retail organisation, or similar fast-paced environment.
* Experience designing and implementing recruitment strategies that attract and retain talent at all levels (frontline, supervisory, and management).
* Strong background in direct sourcing methods (e.g. LinkedIn, job boards, talent pools) and reducing reliance on agencies.
* Experience of workforce planning and supporting senior managers with forecasting recruitment needs.
* Confident managing recruitment budgets, agency relationships, and recruitment systems/ATS.
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* Strong organisational skills, able to balance competing priorities and manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously.
* Data-driven approach with ability to interpret recruitment metrics and use insights to drive decision-making.
* Skilled in interview and selection techniques, including competency and values-based approaches.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Braintree CM77: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
