We're looking for a Strong Behaviour Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Bargoed this September. If you thrive in a supportive environment and have experience with young people who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and behavioural challenges, this could be the perfect role for you.
The Role – What You’ll Do:
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with students aged 11–18
* Support learners with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and social-emotional needs
* Promote positive behaviour and inclusion across the classroom
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across multiple subjects
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour or ALN
* Confident in using positive behaviour management techniques
* Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient
* Background in education, youth work, psychology, or coaching is a plus
* Strong communication and team-working skills
