What you'll be doing
1. Lead proactive investor relations programmes supporting strategic planning with the aim of increasing shareholder value and enhancing BT's image within the investment community.
2. Determine and execute the Group’s approved investor relations and related communications strategies, including developing Group positioning and intended messaging to the financial markets.
3. Provide specialist expertise on all regulatory matters as they apply to BT’s business and operations.
4. Contribute to the proactive investor relations strategy and narrative, in coordination with executive leadership.
5. Partner with the business, to ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with local legislative requirements.
6. Manages relationships with BT’s key shareholders and potential investors.
7. Mentor and coach experienced professionals to develop current and future team capabilities.
8. Consider risk, regulation and uncertainty in all short and mid-term decisions, establishing clear accountabilities and an appropriate risk culture.
9. Continuously develop expert knowledge of emerging trends and changes in investor relations principles and practices and the applicability to BT.
The skills you'll need
10. Extensive experience in an Investor Relations function within a major organisation.
11. Strong understanding of capital markets and, ideally a good knowledge of the telecoms industry.
12. An excellent communicator with the ability to distil complex issues into easily understandable messages.
13. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
14. Strong numerical acumen with a good understanding of financial reporting and accounting, financial modelling and valuation
15. Well organised with an ability to prioritise activities and manage internal and external senior stakeholders.
