In this role, you will ultimately be responsible for effectively managing the safety, quality, efficiency and financial success of the Civil Structures Construction Department.In addition to the above you will:* Oversee daily operational activities including resourcing and programming of works.* Be a champion of Health and Safety, with a keen focus on continuous culture enhancement* Manage financial performance and reporting* Manage the training and development of staff while fostering a collaborative and cohesive team environment* Be responsible for preparation of tenders and controlling forward workload for the department* Effectively manage client relationships to ensure continued success, both internally and externally to Fulton Hogan.* Ensure business objectives are met for growth and performance**To be successful in this role, you will:*** Previous proven management experience* Extensive knowledge of civil engineering and infrastructure. Broadly across concrete pad construction, retaining walls, bridge and culvert works, foundation construction works, timber wharf repairs, and rock revetment works.* Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and procedures* A focus on safety and compliance* The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work* Demonstrated leadership capability with a strong focus on people, safety and quality* Problem solving abilitiesYou will be a supportive and collaborative leader with a passion for developing and growing talent.
