Academic Appointments are supporgint a warm and inclusive Primary School in Doncaster who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the supportive school community. This rewarding role involves providing specialist support to a non-verbal student with ASD, helping them access learning, build communication skills, and flourish in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist 1:1 support for a non-verbal student with ASD, including elements of personal care.
* Lead small group and individual learning sessions tailored to student needs.
* Work across Reception and KS1, delivering focused 1:1 support as well as group-based activities.
* Deliver creative, sensory-rich activities to engage and inspire learners.
* Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and collaborate effectively with the wider team
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience within EYFS & KS1 settings.
* Experience supporting pupils in a primary school, ideally in a 1:1 capacity.
* A good understanding of the EYFS Framework and experience maintaining learning records.
* A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
