Perform a fair share of home visits. The number of visits requested and the number of doctors available will determine the number of additional visits required on any given day.
Perform on‑call duties as per the rota, which includes a minimum of 1 day per week. Duties include fielding emergency calls during the practice’s working hours, performing home visits requested after 11.45 am that need urgent attention. All GPs must be on site between 10.00 am and 6.30 pm when on call.
Perform clinics at times deemed appropriate by the partnership. This may change in the event of DoH changes to opening times of practices.
Maintain your own medical indemnity cover at a level necessary to discharge all duties within the practice. Evidence of this must be provided to the practice manager.

Salford Standards / QOF / M & T:
The appointee will be expected to undertake a reasonable share of the work in the above areas and perform audits as required by the partnership.
Engage fully with the Salford Standards Contract activity and always demonstrate cost‑effective use of NHS resources.

On occasion the appointee will be expected to help with the flu vaccination clinics.

The partnership expects the appointee to participate and embrace relevant clinical governance activities, including critical incident and significant event analysis, and audit as appropriate.
Education:
The partnership expects the appointee to maintain appropriate educational activities and to undergo annual GP appraisal.
Clinical supervision:
You may be asked to supervise other staff and students in the practice which may include but is not limited to ANPs, pharmacists, medical students, PA students, GP trainees with additional training provided where necessary.
