Part-Time Bookkeeper / Office Support

We’re looking for someone to join a small international steel trading business on a part-time basis, supporting both the bookkeeping and day-to-day running of the office.

Company Overview

You will be working for an international steel trade and stockholding company, specialising in stocklots, surplus, and seconds shipped worldwide.

Role Overview

This role would suit an experienced bookkeeper who is comfortable working on their own and confident using Sage. Alongside the bookkeeping, there will also be some general office and admin tasks to help keep things running smoothly in a small, friendly business.

Key Details

  • Pay: £14.25 per hour + holiday pay
  • Pay Frequency: Paid weekly every Friday
  • Hours: 3 days per week - flexible
  • Shift Length: 6 hours per day
  • Start Time: 10:00am / 10:30am (flexible start)
  • Working Days: Flexible – days can be agreed to suit you
  • Contract Length: 3-6 months
  • About the Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping duties, including maintaining and updating financial records using Sage. The role will also involve general office administration and supporting day-to-day business operations.

    Requirements

  • Previous bookkeeping experience is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Be confident on the phone talking to customers and clients
  • Organised, reliable, and detail-focused
  • Comfortable handling general administrative tasks alongside bookkeeping
