Job Title: Senior Technical Services Manager Process Engineering
Reports To: Engineering Director
Business Unit: Major Projects

Location: Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees plus possible travel to other sites within the UK
Role Band: 5
ISG is a dynamic construction and engineering company delivering large, complex projects across the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior TSM to join our growing HTM division in delivering a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees.
Role Purpose
* To deliver a quality service and product to our clients in line with the project goals by working with the Professional team, Trades, Vendors, and applying ISG systems, procedures, and culture.
* The role is a senior management position; the successful candidate will be expected to prepare and present reports, chair meetings with our Delivery Partners, Client, and their Customers, and manage engineering delivery on-site, including quality and health and safety. Although commissioning is outsourced, ISG expects the TSM to be actively involved in the commissioning and closeout of the project.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage specialist process plant and equipment package of works for a pharmaceutical major project from design through procurement, installation, and commissioning, reporting into the Engineering Director.
* Identify and manage critical interfaces with building services and process plant and equipment.
* Engage and build relationships with process suppliers.
* Monitor and manage procurement and manufacturing schedules.
* Review logistics and distribution of the plant with the construction management team.
* Lead BIM workshops and design reviews.
* Identify problems and offer solutions.
* Manage MEP design relevant to the package of works.
* Review technical submittals, designs, and shop drawings for compliance against employer requirements.
* Contribute to the project programme and provide information on installation and commissioning sequencing.
* Be actively involved in the design process, providing technical support and industry experience to the design team.
* Monitor design release against schedule, highlight risks, and propose mitigation measures.
* Manage suppliers relevant to the package of works.
* Establish quality sign-off schedules with suppliers leading up to CQV.
* Review, monitor, and inspect quality of workmanship on-site, ensuring checks align with employer requirements.
* Monitor trade contractor progress, hold progress meetings, and highlight risks with mitigation proposals.
* Ensure traceability of materials from factory to site installations.
* Review, comment, and approve RAMs.
* Monitor health and safety compliance on-site.
* Establish commissioning sign-offs and understand and deliver commissioning strategies.
* Assist the commissioning team in project completion.
* Input into project reports on progress and deliverables.
* Provide high-level strategic thinking at the project level.
* Attend and present at client presentations and workshops.
* Manage relationships with the supply chain and vendors.
* Promote ISG philosophy and culture.
* Produce precise and succinct project reports.
* Monitor programme and contribute to mitigation measures.
* Lead project presentation to the client.
* Offer buildability advice and value engineering solutions.
* Be aware of element costings and costs.
* Promote and implement Zero Defects quality initiative, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
* Implement best practices to deliver safely and on schedule.
Skills & Experience
* Knowledge of pre-construction and construction processes.
* Knowledge of good manufacturing processes.
* Understanding of pre-construction management.
* Political awareness.
* Ability to compile and present project reports.
* Experience at a senior level in medium (£50m+) and large (£100m+) projects.
* Understanding of health & safety policies and management systems.
* Prefabrication knowledge (desirable).
* Pharmaceutical and GMP experience.
Qualifications
* Recognized qualification in building services or process disciplines.
