About the Role
Working in partnership with Northern Lights Learning Trust, Vision for Education are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to work across a number of primary schools in the Darlington and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are flexible, reliable, and passionate about supporting young learners across a variety of school settings. This is ad hoc work, offering flexibility to suit your availability, making it ideal for those seeking a better work-life balance or varied experience within education.
You will support teachers in delivering lessons, help pupils with their learning, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
2. Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis with pupils
3. Assist in the preparation of classroom resources
4. Help manage classroom behaviour
5. Support pupils with additional needs where required
What We’re Looking For
6. Experience working with children or in an educational setting
7. A patient, supportive and proactive approach
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine passion for supporting young people
10. Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
