Graduate Advisor- GMHigher We are now looking to recruit for a Higher Graduate Advisor to join us to provide first-level information, advice and guidance to target school/ college pupils, teachers and parents in relation to the benefits of Higher Education. The role is fixed term until the end of July 2026. As a support colleague you’ll go into the Greater Manchester Pension scheme with a generous employer contribution and enjoy some really great benefit’s, for example, Costa Coffee on site, Free on site Gym at Beaufort Road, onsite bakery products at Tameside One, The Restaurant at Tameside One, to name but a few. Here’s the standard bit: Supporting target learners in schools and colleges to increase their awareness and readiness for Higher Education, you will act as a role model for pupils in the area, advocating the benefits of HE and liaise with staff in target schools and colleges to increase their engagement in (and awareness of) the Greater Manchester Higher Programme. What you’ll need: Candidates must have an understanding of the widening participation agenda within higher education and of working on large scale collaborative projects. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you must have experience of establishing and managing relationships with staff in schools and colleges and of working on projects focused on the education of those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to engage others in order to build and maintain positive working relationships to support collaborative working is essential for the role.
