Role: The Other House is looking for an experienced Events & Membership Manager with an eye for detail, the ability to multitask and think on their feet. The role is hands-on and requires a true professional with excellent organisation skills and a confident and engaging management style. This exciting and pivotal role requires an individual who is vivacious and enthusiastic and can handle all the details involved in planning and executing our events and membership strategy, which involves planning and overseeing both external guest events as well as our membership programming. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will sell and plan high profile corporate and social events at The Other House South Kensington and deliver exceptional service whilst doing so. To assume full responsibility for the smooth running of your events and to guide your clients through the event planning process with care and attention, to ensure that every element is thought of and that they have an excellent experience with The Other House. To develop strong relationships with your clients to encourage repeat business, and to be proactive in developing new business. There is also the opportunity to contribute to projects to strengthen the positioning of the events and membership department as required. To achieve success the Events & Membership Manager will work collaboratively with other departments, such as the restaurant, sales and marketing and reservations teams to ensure that all aspects of the events come together smoothly. The role will also requirement management of our Events and Membership Executive. Systems/Technology: Experience in using the following systems would be a distinct advantage.

You:
* A minimum of 2 years of proven experience of driving a successful membership or events department is required, along with an ability to use traditional approaches to the benefit of The Other House's disruptive approach, recognising the obstacles to combat them.
* Experience working for Independent properties / small groups / aparthotels
* Able to demonstrate experience strong leadership, managing and team in addition to managing up to Board Level
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows software, with extensive experience in the use of Excel
* Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
* Strong planning, organising and time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders at all levels
* Passionate and self-driven
* A team player with a 'Jack of all Trades' attitude
* An ambassador for The Other House brand
* Excellent command of English - both verbal and written
* The right to work in UK
