Lead Structural Technician Gloucestershire £40,000 per annum depending on experience, Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home) This organisation specialises in light gauge steel structural design and technical delivery, supporting projects through detailed modelling, coordination and design output. The Lead Structural Technician role exists to manage and guide a team of designers, ensuring quality, accuracy and timely delivery across all design work. As a Lead Structural Technician: Manage and coordinate a team of designers, including workload planning and deadline setting. Monitor progress and ensure the accuracy and quality of all design outputs Liaise with structural engineers to coordinate design intent and resolve technical queries Incorporate engineering calculations and details into steelwork designs Ensure all designs comply with standards, specifications and engineering requirements Work collaboratively with clients, factory teams, site teams and other design departments Oversee timely delivery of drawings, models and technical information Communicate clearly and effectively across all project stakeholdersWe are looking for: Proven experience as a structural technician within construction or engineering Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Experience leading, supervising or coordinating design teams Ability to interpret engineering calculations and translate them into detailed designs Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong attention to accuracy and quality in technical output Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external project teams Competent user of standard Microsoft software packagesIf you are a skilled Roof Truss Designer looking for an exciting opportunity, please submit your CV below, or call Annie Parker for more information.
