Due to our continued work winning success wecurrently have an exciting new opportunity for an experiencedAssistant Quantity Surveyor experienced within Power to join ourteam based in the Iver / Shinfield area.You willassist inmaintaining commercial control of direct labour subcontractorsplant material consumable and administration costs and projectvaluation. You will also be looking after thecost control and costmanagement as well asthe validation of progress data in order toensure accuratereporting.
Responsibilities
* Knowledgeunderstanding and administration of respective entitlements andobligations under the main contract andsubcontracts.
* Administration of contractrecords.
* Assisting the management ofsubcontract payments including negotiation of subcontractvariations and monitoring and reconciliation of contrachargeaccounts.
* Collation of accurate information formonthly cost/ value reconciliations and contractreviews.
* Audit agreement and reconciliation ofmeasurements against systemised actuals.
* Weeklycost / value report generations.
* Assist withthe production of financial and statistical reports asrequired.
* Close liaison with and provision ofassistance to operational and supportstaff.
* Carry out any other duties appropriateto this post.
Skills&Experience
* Experiencein a similar role
* Qualified or working towardsDiploma or Degree qualification in QuantitySurveying
* Knowledge of NECContracts
* Excellent prioritisation andorganisational skills
* Selfmotivated and able towork on own initiative; enthusiastic with can doattitude.
* Good problemsolving skills theability to anticipate potential problems and overcome themeffectively.
* Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills ability to communicate with stakeholders atall levels including directors.
* Can maintain ahigh level of discretion andconfidentiality.
* Excellent time managementskills and able to work todeadlines.
* Proficiency in PC operating systems(Word / Excel / Outlook)
* DrivingLicense
* Previous experience within utilitiesconstruction
