JOB DESCRIPTION
Kuehne+Nagel is seeking talented Sourcing Managers to drive sustainable competitive advantage by implementing best practices in indirect procurement.
This role offers broad responsibility across various procurement categories services and stakeholder groups, including board-level interaction. It requires subject matter expertise and leadership within procurement, and a strong focus on compliance with legislation such as GDPR, IR35, Modern Slavery, and Anti-trust. Key duties include category management, developing and communicating effective procurement process with a view to mitigate compliance risks and reputational damage. The role also involves collaboration with regional/global procurement teams and their outsource partner, leading strategy for specific sub-categories, and supporting the Head of Procurement in cross-functional initiatives.

3. Ensuring alignment with BU/FU Stakeholders.
4. Establish and maintain Governance & Policies within local Categories Leadership Responsibility.
5. Fostering strong relations with national leadership team, Business Development, stakeholders & suppliers.
6. Lead negotiations, manage risks to support business continuity & growth Financial Responsibility.
7. Deliver quantified agreed financial savings targets.
8. Develops and maintains an accurate accounting of the procurement spend reporting.
9. Identifies new procurement related opportunities to grow the gross profit of the business and to be distinctive in the market area. Strategic Responsibility
10. Maintain and develop key supplier relationship SRM.
What we would like you to bring
11. Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, specifically in People and/or Professional Services, Couriers.
12. Minimum 1 year of experience in project management.
13. CIPS qualification (or qualifying for) preferrable.
14. Proficiency in MS Office.
15. Confidence, tact, and assertiveness in dealing with senior stakeholders; effective listening and influencing skills; conflict resolution capabilities.
16. Legislative awareness; strategic thinking and forward planning; deal making (negotiation/repackaging of offers/proposals).
17. Decision making and decisiveness; time management and prioritization; proactive approach.
18. Attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities.
19. Able to work three days per week from our offices in Milton Keynes.
