Job Purpose: The Workday Team at InnovateUK supports the HR and Finance functions. The successful candidate will be working with the HR and Finance teams to perform a range of responsibilities as a key member of the Workday Product team. The Workday Analyst role will be required to understand and analyse user and business needs ensuring alignment with business strategy. They will define business, system and user requirements to support both projects and continuous improvement driven change activity. The Analyst will be required to identify tools that support improved system governance, impact assess options, configure, test and deploy solutions to ensure effective operational support. They will also configure system updates, fixes and implement new functionality. The ideal candidate will facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build and delivery to meet user needs. They will be self-motivated, have strong experience of working within ideally both Workday HCM and Finance modules to analyse, configure and improve processes. They will analyse future requirements and advise how the system can meet the requirements; develop and maintain the current Workday modules; and implement future enhancements. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Requirements gathering - Run requirements gathering workshops with HR and Finance teams and end-users, determining the need and value of performing the activity based on the context. Document requirements & business process flows. Undertake Process Modelling (as-is and to-be business processes) – mapping where components can be delivered by Workday and other systems by working with wider systems stakeholders. System Analysis – Coordinate the work of systems analysis to ensure business needs are translated into solutions against identified timelines, and work with technical leads to ensure business needs are translated into the technical solutions. Apply advanced Workday knowledge to lead and support various implementation and improvement projects Prepare documents to be presented for additional functionality and impacts. Manage and perform the execution of system changes (updates, integrations, new configurations) and participate in all aspects of system testing. Monitor operational support queries being raised, resolve where possible or liaise with technical 3rd party product and support teams. Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to optimize business processes Coaching the HR and Finance Teams through system developments and sharing technical knowledge Design Workday reports focused on utility, visual presentation, and ease of interpretation for the end user. Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required. Manage the review, impact analysis and implementation of the bi-annual Workday release cycle Deliver Products, Tools, and Documentation – Ensure the delivery of change is made against a fully auditable process by producing required documentation as per framework e.g. application of methodologies; functional specification; user cases; user stories; UAT plans and strategy; entry/exit and /or no/no go criteria; defect analysis; forms and templates; guidance; business case. Update functional process guides, training materials and user guides for end users.
