A fantastic opportunity has come available to join NERF ACTION XPERIENCE - Nerf’s UK Family Entertainment Venue and world's only dedicated Nerf Retail store as their DUTY MANAGER.
Opening this Summer, this brand new attraction will be located in Trafford Palazzo in Manchester. Our client is looking for an exceptional Duty Manager with a retail background who can lead and motivate the team to deliver an amazing customer experience. You will be driven by customer satisfaction and success, leading by example from the front forward.
We are looking for someone with a strong retail background who will be a key member of the management team. Using your prior leadership experience, you’ll be responsible for driving the teams forward primarily within the retail store but also across the leisure side of the business, creating a safe, secure environment of excellence and fun for guests. This is a retail role with a twist as you will have the opportunity to be multi trained across all areas of the business!
You will support the General Manager with the commercial control of the retail store including: stock ordering; merchandising; commercial planning; stock management; sales; planograms; visual impact.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and coaching skills, a commercial mindset and be a great multitasker! You will be highly motivated, target driven and customer service oriented. You will lead by example and put customers/guests at the forefront to develop a driven, successful team in order to maximise sales.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Responsibility for the opening and closing
* Assisting the GM with all staffing levels and issues, i.e. absences, replacements and training to ensure smooth operation of the business
* Prepare, monitor, delegate and action daily tasks
* Ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service are delivered by the team at all times.
* Ensure any complaints are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner.
* Ensure the team serves all products to company and brand specification
* Actively drive the team’s knowledge of Top Sellers in the Retail store
* Ensure that all customer queries are dealt with promptly and effectively
* Achieve and maintain company standards on housekeeping, floor presentation and space planning
Offering a basic salary of £23,000 plus additional rewards and benefits, and also being an incredibly fun place to work!

This is a full-time position and shifts will be worked Monday to Sunday, including weekends and late evenings therefore flexibility is vital for this role and a DBS check may also be required.
