We are looking for a professional, approachable, and highly organised Security Receptionist to support site security operations at the Marks & Spencer Distribution Centre in Bradford.
As a Security Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for colleagues, visitors, contractors. You will play a key role in maintaining site security while delivering a high standard of customer service, supporting access control, visitor management, and administrative security duties in line with site procedures.
Full training will be provided.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Act as the first point of contact for all site visitors, contractors, and colleagues
2. Manage visitor and contractor sign‑in and sign‑out procedures
3. Issue, control, and record passes, keys, and access permissions
4. Monitor access control systems and CCTV in accordance with site procedures
5. Maintain accurate security records, logs, and documentation
6. Communicate professionally with site management, security teams, and visitors
7. Support Site Protection Officers and Supervisors with day‑to‑day security administration
8. Respond appropriately to alarms, incidents, and security concerns
9. Ensure high standards of customer service, professionalism, and confidentiality
10. Maintain a tidy, secure, and professional reception area
11. Comply with all site‑specific procedures, security instructions, and company policies
Person Specification
✅ Previous experience in a receptionist, front‑of‑house, or security‑based role (desirable)
✅ Excellent communication and customer service skills
✅ Professional appearance with high personal standards
✅ Strong administration and organisational skills
✅ Literate and numerate with good attention to detail
✅ Calm, confident, and polite under pressure
✅ Reliable, punctual, and adaptable
✅ Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
✅ Valid front‑line SIA Licence (or willingness to obtain, if required)
✅ Basic IT skills (email, logging systems, access control systems)
