7.5 Tonne Driver - Vacancy - Unitech Engineering Ltd – RAF-4081
Unitech Engineering Ltd is the leading supplier of high-quality stainless steel and aluminium equipment for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries. An excellent and varied opportunity has arisen to recruit for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to complement our existing team.
Role Overview:
Based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, reporting directly to the Production and Planning Manager, this role is an integral part of a busy Despatch Department dealing with customers, and a wide range of departments within the business. Other duties involved in the role are as follows:
Main duties will include:
· Carry out multi drops across the country.
· Position ratchet straps to secure products for delivery
· Obtain customer signatures or collect payments for goods delivered.
· Assist in loading and unloading truck manually.
· Responsible for cleaning and inspecting the vehicle.
· Assist with any other task as required in line with business needs and as required within your skill set and experience.
Skills & Experience Required:
· To be considered for this role you must be able to drive up to a 7.5 Tonne vehicle, a distinct advantage would be if the applicant possesses a class 2 licence.
· Holding a CPC and a digital tachograph is a mandatory requirement.
· Must be willing to work flexible hours (Early starts, Late finishes). And some nights away from home and weekend work as when the business dictates.
· Full driving licence (Must not exceed 6 penalty points).
· To be available for offsite training courses.

· Rate of pay for this role is £ £13.50 per hour dependant on skills, experience and level of driving licence.
· 28 days holiday (inclusive of annual, bank/public days) increasing with service.
