We're seeking a future team member for the role of Liquidity Regulatory Reporting Production Accountant (EMEA) to join our Finance team. This role is located in Manchester, UK, and will be working in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
1. Deliver liquidity regulatory submissions for EMEA locations, including review of external and internal monitoring deliverables and responding to ad-hoc regulatory queries within prescribed deadlines.
2. Produce or oversee high-quality regulatory returns, understand variances and MI promptly, ensuring reporting deadlines and quality expectations are met.
3. Maintain a strong operational control environment with documented reviews, checklists, and procedures.
4. Collaborate with market centre financial controller owners across EMEA and other departments such as Corporate Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Business Finance, and management, in producing regulatory and liquidity returns.
5. Manage daily operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness; serve as a role model within the EMEA Finance Professional Service Centre and support business strategy.
6. Review internal liquidity reports, support conclusions, and monitor internal reports for liquidity submissions.
7. Assist with regulatory change projects, provide advisory support on business changes, platform migrations, legal restructuring, new branches, business startups, and product launches.
8. Operate within a controlled environment for data production and reporting, including certification, variance analysis, and adherence to governance policies.
9. Offer support, advice, and education to business units on new regulatory rules and their impact.
10. Stay informed on legislative and regulatory developments affecting reporting requirements.
11. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and experience:
* Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent).
* Experience in Regulatory Reporting / Financial Services, with a preference for liquidity or treasury reporting.
* Management or supervisory experience, including reviewing team members' work and providing feedback.
* Experience with process improvement, change management, and controls in a complex global environment.
* Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
* Organized, detail-oriented, motivated, with an inquisitive mindset.
* Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, complex multinational organization.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, planning, and escalation skills.
