Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Advanced Practitioner within the Children's Mental Health Fostering Team to work Full Time based in Southend. The salary for this permanent Senior Practitioner job is up to £52,413per annum. Main duties: To provide an efficient and cost-effective service to children, young people and their Foster Carers, ensuring that the needs of the children and their Foster Carers are appropriately supported. To provide consultation on emotional, behavioural, and mental health issues and contribute to the development of colleagues within children's services. To take lead responsibility for ensuring support plans for those young people scoring highly on the SDQ and reviewing the impact of such. To support the continuous development of Foster Carers, through training and support forums, enabling them to provide trauma-informed care to the young people they look after. Endeavour to provide a children's emotional health and wellbeing service to Children Looked After by Southend and direct placement support. Working closely and in partnership with other services as required. To investigate, evaluate and analyse information on cases, demonstrating clarity of assessment, reliability of information, evidence in conclusions and realistic action plans. To ensure that all casework and foster care services comply with statutory requirements, fostering regulations/Nat minimum standards and the council's Policies & Procedures. To ensure that investigations, enquiries and assessments are completed to high professional standards within agreed timescales. To use ICT as required to maintain adequate case recording as directed in the service procedures. To liaise with and work in partnership with other agencies and organisations, to support care plans of children in placement and the work of foster carers. To attend panels, conferences, reviews and court as required for each case presenting the Council plans and opinions with professionalism and integrity. To prepare and submit written reports as the Senior Mental Health Worker as and when required. To represent the team, group or department on working parties and at other meetings as required. To ensure the Team Manager is kept fully appraised of problems arising from workload and seek advice as and when necessary. To be familiar with Equal Opportunities good practice and the Council requirements for Diversity and to implement this in all aspects of working practice and promote it in the team and workplace. Any other duties and requirements needed within the Fostering Service as decided by the Fostering TM's Requirements of this Senior Practitioner role: A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
