National Account Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented National Account Manager to join an exciting business team in the Foodservice industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, driving sales performance, and ensuring the successful execution of commercial strategies across retail, foodservice, and distribution channels.
As the primary contact for your accounts, you will balance customer needs with business objectives, delivering growth and building long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow assigned customer accounts within retail, foodservice, and/or distribution.
* Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales, volume, and profitability targets.
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, promotional activities, and trade terms with buyers and procurement teams.
* Track and analyse sales performance, consumer trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
* Partner with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, operations, and finance) to deliver tailored customer solutions.
* Manage promotional and trade spend budgets effectively, ensuring maximum ROI.
* Ensure products have strong visibility and representation in customer outlets.
* Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to support business planning.
Qualifications & Skills
* 3–5 years of experience in sales/account management within the Food manufacturing & Foodservices sector.
* Strong knowledge of retail, distribution, and/or foodservice channels.
* Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
* Proficiency in MS Office; CRM and ERP experience preferred.
* Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
