This is an exciting opportunity to join our Team based at our Head Office at Breedon-on-the-Hill, nr Derby.
As Finance Business Partner you will be providing financial administration support to GB Materials management team across a number of aggregates, asphalt and concrete sites. You will be the central point of contact for the Operations & Commercial management teams and ensure their financial support needs are met and ensuring financial deadlines are met in an accurate and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the Operational management teams as Business Partner, ensuring that their financial support needs are met
2. Ensure costs are allocated and coded correctly
3. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared correctly and in a timely manner
4. Provision of production & commercial statistics and reconciliation
5. Assist the Financial Controller with capital expenditure projects
6. Entry of month end journals for reporting
7. Assist with forecast and budget preparation and analysis for operational Area and associated overhead departments
8. To supervise Assistant Management Accountants as required from time to time
9. To ensure financial data is accurate and complete and coded correctly
10. To ensure balance sheet reconciliations are performed routinely and any differences are investigated and resolved
11. Ensure that all accounting policies and procedures are applied
12. Some travel will be required to visit sites
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
13. Must be able to demonstrate a high level of written and numerical literacy
14. Accountant qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) is required
15. Operational and commercial experience in a related sector is preferred
