This role suits someone who is patient, encouraging, and confident building positive, trusting relationships with young people who have additional needs. In this role, you'll be working closely with a young boy with SEN and SEMH needs. This requires someone who can offer stability, patience, and emotional understanding, as well as the confidence to structure positive daily routines and adapt sessions to his interests and wellbeing. You will create structured, interest‑based sessions tailored to his needs and wellbeing, ensuring each interaction is calm, supportive, and purposeful. You will also be responsible for transporting him to and from school safely each day, providing consistency and reassurance during transitions. Alongside this, you will help him develop positive routines, manage emotional and behavioural challenges linked to SEN and SEMH, and encourage independence and personal growth.
