Outreach Support Worker - Immediate Start Location: Bristol Contract: Urgent requirement | Full‑time or Part‑time (Mon, Wed, Fri) Driving: Applicants must drive and have - or be willing to obtain - business insurance Salary: Competitive (depending on experience) We are urgently recruiting a committed and proactive Outreach Support Worker to support a young boy in the Bristol area. This role suits someone who is patient, encouraging, and confident building positive, trusting relationships with young people who have additional needs. This school is dedicated to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and highly supportive environment where every learner is recognised and valued. Their personalised, flexible approach enables young people who may have found mainstream education challenging to re‑engage, rebuild confidence, and access the opportunities they need to thrive. The trauma‑informed ethos promotes calm, consistent relationships and ensures students feel safe, understood, and empowered throughout their educational journey. In this role, you'll be working closely with a young boy with SEN and SEMH needs. This requires someone who can offer stability, patience, and emotional understanding, as well as the confidence to structure positive daily routines and adapt sessions to his interests and wellbeing. You will create structured, interest‑based sessions tailored to his needs and wellbeing, ensuring each interaction is calm, supportive, and purposeful. You will also be responsible for transporting him to and from school safely each day, providing consistency and reassurance during transitions. Alongside this, you will help him develop positive routines, manage emotional and behavioural challenges linked to SEN and SEMH, and encourage independence and personal growth.
