engineering workshop machinery. This is a field-based role, home-based within the Central Belt of Scotland, with occasional UK-wide travel. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship
and have at least 1 year of post-apprenticeship experience. You will work across both disciplines (training provided where needed), carrying out maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Perform
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
on a wide range of machinery and LEV systems to meet compliance standards. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on client equipment, producing detailed service reports. Install, modify, and upgrade machinery and LEV systems, including electrical wiring and mechanical assembly. Commission machinery and systems electrically and mechanically following installations. Work both independently and as part of a team on-site. Equipment Experience
(any combination will be considered) Workshop Machinery:
Woodworking, metalworking, and other engineering machines. LEV Systems:
Fan and filter units, ducting, and extraction systems. Electrical:
Variable speed drives, soft starts, star/delta units, pressure switches, relays, PLC units, single & three-phase motors. Mechanical:
Bearings, fans, impellers, pulleys, belts, drive shafts, gearboxes. Requirements HNC or above in
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Recognised engineering apprenticeship. Full UK driving licence. Advantageous (but not essential) 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). 18th Edition Inspection & Testing. CSCS / ECS Certification. IPAF Certification. Compressed air systems experience. Commercial gas certification. Steel conduit bending, cable tray, trunking installation. Basic electrical fault-finding for mechanical engineers / basic mechanical knowledge for electricians. Location & Travel Home-based within Central Belt of Scotland. Travel to client sites with occasional overnight stays (MonFri, up to 5 days). All travel and accommodation covered. Fully expensed company van, mobile phone, tablet. All PPE, workwear, test equipment, and tools provided.
