We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Wellbeing & Engagement Practitioner to join Lancashire Services ! Join the CGL Inspire team and play a vital role in transforming lives within your community. This rewarding position is based in community settings, where you will proactively engage and support individuals who may be concerned about their drug or alcohol use but are not currently accessing treatment. Working as part of an integrated health and wellbeing model, you will collaborate with a wide range of partners to deliver holistic, person-centred interventions. A central focus of the role is to identify unmet treatment needs and provide meaningful pathways to support, while also leading impactful education and training initiatives that challenge stigma and equip professionals, local organisations, and community groups with the skills to deliver effective brief interventions and better understand the harms associated with substance use. Where: Nelson Working H o urs : 37.5 hours per week Full Time Salary Range : £27,861.26 - £ 32,002.35 Contract Type: Permanent * Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. About the Role: Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact with our service throughout their treatment and recovery journey. Proactively engage local and underrepresented communities, promoting access and sustained involvement in services Identify individuals in need of support, building trust to increase treatment uptake Collaborate with lived experience recovery services to coordinate effective, person-centred care Conduct screening, triage, assessments, and provide brief advice on drug and alcohol use Support access to specialist treatment and manage a coordinated caseload of clients Deliver community information sessions to challenge stigma and raise awareness Provide training on substance use to local providers where required Work collaboratively across neighbourhoods and partner agencies to address health inequalities and unmet need Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to maximise accessibility and reach About You: Possess knowledge and experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by substance use. Understanding of Outreach practices and working within a community delivery model. Knowledge or experience of CBT, Relapse Prevention or Brief Solution Focussed Therapy Hold a strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices. Thrive as a supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders. Clinical auditing skills to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for development. Recognise the significance of information governance processes and commit to adhering to all necessary safeguards. Pursue continuous learning opportunities to enhance your professional knowledge and skills, while also contributing to the growth and development of your colleagues.
