Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Start Date: ASAP (or agreed)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
The Role
This HLTA position is split across the school day:
Morning:
* Teaching Spanish to pupils across the primary age range
* Delivering engaging, interactive language sessions
* Supporting pupils to build confidence in speaking and listening
Afternoon:
* Providing PPA cover across different year groups
* Delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining strong routines
* Supporting learning and behaviour in a calm, consistent way
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
* HLTA qualification (or strong experience working at HLTA level)
* Spanish language skills (must be confident delivering Spanish sessions)
* Experience working in a UK primary school setting
* Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
* A warm, reliable approach and the ability to adapt quickly
