Job Overview: We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our community mental health services on a full-time or part-time basis. At LPT, you will collaborate with well-established multi-disciplinary teams, both operationally and strategically, to drive innovation and deliver the best care for our patients. Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)
Applications are invited from registered medical practitioners who have or are eligible for a CCT or an equivalent approved training indicator and are eligible for entry onto the Specialist Register within six months of the interview date. The post holder will work in partnership at strategic and operational levels with relevant and external stakeholders. They will ensure that service users, carers, and advocates are treated with respect and dignity. The role involves providing clinical leadership, developing the team, and advising hospital and community specialists, managers, and directors on delivering excellent care and future strategic directions. The consultant has a continuing responsibility for patient care and departmental functioning, liaising with GPs, hospital and community specialists, and other agencies as relevant.
