Key team responsibilities include:
Performance Analysis and Senior Management Support:
* Ownership of Monthly Operating Report (MOR) preparation covering P&L, revenue and expense commentary, and other relevant financial information such as cost allocation details and balance sheet information.
* Preparation of financial information and commentary for the EMEA legal entity Board of Director meetings.
* Partnering with business and finance teams to provide insightful financial analysis.
* Collaborating with the India FP&A team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Oversight and Control:
* Review of month-end P&L to ensure expenses are charged appropriately to LOBs.
* Oversight of the accrual and LOB allocation process for EMEA Global Markets (e.g., Brokerage, Exchange Fees).
* Estimating and understanding drivers for EMEA Global Markets taxes and regulatory levies.
Projects and Ad-hoc Analysis:
* Preparation of detailed analysis on various EMEA Global Markets expense items (e.g., allocated expense analysis, expense deep-dives).
* Preparation of detailed expense variance analysis and supporting the business in cost-saving initiatives.
* Continuous review of reporting and processes to ensure relevance and efficiency.
* Ad-hoc reporting for senior management.
Essential Skills:
* Experienced accounting background with attention to detail.
* Strong numerical, verbal, and analytical skills.
* Financial reporting and modeling skills, including building controlled spreadsheets and sourcing meaningful data.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial analysis and insights to senior stakeholders.
* Presentation skills: clearly communicating key messages, recommendations, and information.
