Our client is a specialist consultancy that quietly built an internal SaaS product to solve tough client problems. It's now in demand with external clients, shifting from internal tool to commercial
platform and gaining real momentum.
They're hiring their first permanent designer to take it into its next chapter: new features, a refreshed visual language, and deeper analytical capabilities. Think: startup pace and ownership, without the startup chaos.
What you'll be doing
As the sole designer, you'll work end‑to‑end: research, interaction, UI, prototyping, and shaping design foundations. You'll collaborate closely with consultants, engineers, and product teams, often co‑designing with non‑designers, stress‑testing ideas in real time, and communicating your decisions clearly and confidently.
This role suits someone who enjoys thinking on their feet, defending and refining their work, and turning complexity into clarity.
You'll make impact by
Co‑designing with cross‑functional teams and shaping ideas at pace.
Critiquing and justifying design decisions clearly when put on the spot.
Designing intuitive workflows for analytical tools, data‑heavy features and visualisation components.
Elevating the visual craft and improving end‑to‑end user journeys.
Creating research insights, wireframes, prototypes and high‑fidelity UI.
Embedding accessibility and consistency across the platform.
Defining design principles and ways of working as the product scales.
What we're looking for
5+ years in Product Design.
Experience designing complex B2B SaaS or workflow‑heavy products.
Ability to work autonomously as a solo designer.
Strong communication skills especially when collaborating with non‑designers.
Familiarity with data‑visualisation, dashboards or analytical tools.
Sound understanding of accessibility and design systems.
