A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Assistant Service Manager (6 months) at Trowbridge on a full-time, 6-month contract basis (37.5 hours per week).

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be accountable for people management and staff development. This key role ensures the quality of our service delivery. You should be self-motivated, passionate about positive change, and confident in making difficult decisions under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building effective relationships with staff and the people we support.
Your working week is flexible, covering 7 days. You must be adaptable to work early, late, or weekend shifts depending on service needs and be part of the manager on-call system. You should also be able to cover for other service managers when needed and be willing to support front-line work with individuals.
Flexibility and the ability to travel between different locations are important. Emergency cover shifts may be required.
To qualify, you must have experience in the social care sector, particularly working with individuals with autism, mental health challenges, and behaviours that challenge. Leadership experience in Learning Disability services is also necessary. * Ensure service compliance

* Monitor staff to maintain high standards
* Ensure health & safety regulations are met
* Liaise with families and stakeholders
* Support continuous team development
* Proficiency in IT is required
An enhanced DBS check is required (paid for by Mencap).
Note: Due to Home Office guidelines, staff already sponsored by Mencap as Support Workers are ineligible for this temporary role.
