Marine Superintendent
Migdale Transport is seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Superintendent to join our team and play a key role in the success of our wellboat and transport operations.
This is a senior operational position, working closely with the Wellboat Operations Manager and wider team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant marine services.
Start date: Ideally beginning of April 2026
The Role
As Marine Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating wellboat operations
Liaising with crews, office staff, and customers
Ensuring vessels, and equipment are maintained and operating safely
Monitoring compliance with company Safety Management Systems
Managing maintenance, crew changes, and operational planning
Ensuring vessels are fully equipped and supplied
Maintaining accurate operational, compliance, and financial records
Promoting environmental responsibility and best practice
Supporting continuous improvement and business development
Ensuring compliance with flag and port state regulations.
Maintaining and evolving an effective safety management system.
This is a key leadership role within the business, with responsibility for maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and customer service.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate who has:
A valid Masters/Chief Officer's Certificate of Competency (essential)
Experience in marine operations (aquaculture experience desirable)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
Good IT skills (Excel, Word, reporting systems)
A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and welfare
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend rotas
You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Location & Hours
Primary location: Migdale Transport Oban Office, Scotland
Hybrid working may be considered for the right candidate
Average working week: 43 hours
