My client is a Leading Town Planning consultancy based in Dublin city centre. They have an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious town planner looking to take the next step on your career path and join the team as a Planner.
About the role
The successful candidate will work as part of a team on a range of large-scale commercial, renewable energy, industrial, and data centre projects. The role will provide opportunities for professional and career development in a supportive environment. A Planner will be expected to assist senior team members on a diverse range of projects with a focus on delivering results and meeting client objectives. The role will involve working as part of one of Ireland's foremost planning consultancies, for a wide range of Irish and multi-national clients.
Experience
Irish Planning Institute and / or Royal Town Planning Institute accredited post-graduate degree, or equivalent.
Member / Graduate Member of the Irish Planning Institute and / or Royal Town Planning Institute.
Minimum three years' relevant experience, including experience of preparation and lodgement of planning applications, appeals, and submissions.
Demonstrable experience in some or all of the following areas advantageous, but not essential:
Renewable energy and electricity transmission projects.
Strategic infrastructure development projects.
Commercial and industrial projects.
Experience in contributing to EIARs advantageous, but not essential.
Experienced in managing small to medium sized projects independently.
Skills
Strong report writing skills, and experience in the authoring of planning reports, appeals, submissions.
Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills and enjoy problem solving.
Commercially astute and process driven, with a focus on achieving results.
Strong time management, organisational, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
High level of self-motivation and ability to work well as part of a team to meet project objectives.
