The job itself
St Anne's Residence provides short breaks to children and young people aged 5-19 years offering structure and consistency. We are rated GOOD by Ofsted.
This is an extremely rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to children's lives in a Residential Care Setting, by supporting with care across 48 weeks of the year (please note we are separate facility to the School)
We pride ourselves on developing self-help, independence, social and communication skills through reactional activities on and off site for children and young people. The emotional well-being of children and young people and safety is a high priority.
Ideally you will be qualified with an NVQ/Diploma level 3 in Care of Children and Young People/Social Care Pathways/Residential Child Care. However, opportunity and support will be available if this qualification is not held.

Copies of rotas are available upon request;
1. Job A (28 hours) you will work shifts, including hours 7-9.30am / 3-9pm / 7am-3pm. You will work every other weekend. The rota is 2 weekly.
2. Job B (20.5 hours) you will work shifts, including hours 7-9.30am / 3-9pm. The rota is 2 weekly.
In addition to the stated salary, this role attracts new enhancements from 1st April 2024 which include:
3. Time and a half for weekend hours worked between 7am and 11pm
4. Time and a third for weekday evening hours worked between 8pm and 11pm.
Appointments will be subject to satisfactory disclosures at enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Services and other background checks, including social media. You must provide at least the last 10 years of employment or education history and explain any gaps and you must have a legal right to work in the UK.
