Emergency Call Handler – Days – Part Time

Hours: 18 hours per week. 6‑hour shift, 3 days per week, between Monday and Sunday, scheduled between 06:00 and 22:00. Rotas provided 4 weeks in advance.
Salary: £11,522.16 per annum (£12.31 per hour)
Start Date: 2 February 2026
Training: 3 weeks of full‑time training, Monday‑Friday 09:30‑17:00, mix of in‑office and remote. Week 1 in office.
Internet requirements: 5 Mbps upload, 15 Mbps download.
Responsibilities
* Arrange help for vulnerable clients when they need us the most.
* Answer varying calls, including providing reassurance, actioning accidental or test calls, and contacting emergency services.
* Maintain calm, empathetic attitude and communicate effectively with distressed callers.
* Meet personal targets while delivering excellent customer service.
Qualifications
* Minimum one year experience in a call‑centre environment dealing with customers, preferably remote.
* Good general standard of education.
* Desire to help the community, empathy, and resilience.
* Ability to communicate sympathetically with distressed callers.
* Drive to meet personal targets.
