The Role
AspenTech is seeking a Sr Principal Solution Consultant to assist our account managers in growing our business and supporting sales of the aspenONE Engineering solutions, with a focus on E&C (Engineering & Construction) and Energy (Oil & Gas or Refining) customers. Experience in Project Cost Estimation is desired; plant layout and piping knowledge is a plus. We target capital project execution in chemicals, refining, and EPC industry clients. Key traits for this role include industry understanding, deep consultative skills, capital project execution, knowledge of AspenTech's product strategy, and effective communication with both technical and management audiences. The Sr Principal Solution Consultant is an experienced engineer who will work with clients to understand their challenges and initiatives, identify applications of our tools to address business and technical issues, and work independently or with the sales team to drive software adoption.

1. Determine and understand prospective clients’ critical business issues to present and demonstrate AspenTech’s software capabilities as the best solution to win business.
2. Identify solutions to improve customer profitability and capital project results based on your technical and industry knowledge.
3. Present management-level solution overviews.
4. Analyze and present business benefit cases.
5. Conduct technical product discussions.
6. Manage and assist with awareness education campaigns, both on-site and online.
7. Support software evaluations.
8. Assist the sales team with planning to build the sales pipeline.
What You'll Need
* BSc in Engineering or a closely related field.
* Experience in E&C, Energy, or Chemical industries.
* Cost Estimation experience, especially with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, is an advantage.
* Strong business acumen.
* Ability to manage customer discussions across technical and managerial levels, identifying improvements.
