verview:We are currently seeking an experienced HV CAD Engineer to support a major National Grid project. This is a fully remote, Outside IR35 contract with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure within the UK energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings for high-voltage substation projects.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and compliant design documentation.
* Support the delivery of detailed design packages in line with National Grid standards.
* Participate in design reviews and provide technical input where required.
* Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in substation design within the UK power transmission sector.
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software (2D & 3D).
* Familiarity with National Grid standards and documentation processes.
* Ability to work independently and manage deliverables remotely.
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Contract Details:
* Start Date: Immediate
* Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
* IR35 Status: Outside IR35
* Location: Remote (UK-based candidates only)
