We’re seeking a skilled Data Engineer (contractor) to help our client build and scale their data infrastructure using Databricks.
Responsibilities
* Design, build and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines
* Work with streaming and batch data ingestion
* Optimize data quality and reliability
* Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams
* Influence architecture decisions and shape best practices
Qualifications
* Proven experience with Databricks in production environments
* Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services
* Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
* Comfort with autonomy, ambiguity, and fast-paced environments
Details
* Contract role (6 months +), with potential extension
* Ideally 2 days a week onsite in Warrington, but can offer some flex if this is not feasible
