JOB TITLE: Health, Safety and Wellbeing Assistant

LOCATION:Plymouth Based

SALARY: £90-£120 Day Rate, Call to Discuss

DURATION: 5 months, with possible extension

Key Responsibilities
* Accurately handle and process computerized data and information with a strong focus on confidentiality, security, and attention to detail. Maintain an understanding of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) policies and procedures.
* Maintain and manage HSW records, documents, and data in line with standard operating procedures, ensuring timely retrieval in the appropriate format for customer use.
* Collect relevant data, draft routine reports, and present findings clearly for review and approval by members of the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing team.
* Support the team in promoting a positive HSW culture throughout the organization by assisting in the implementation, monitoring, review, and auditing of HSW management standards.
* Consistently demonstrate and uphold impeccable values and behaviours, ensuring all actions reflect the principles of public service and organizational integrity.
* Address and challenge inappropriate behavior where necessary, promoting respectful and inclusive conduct.
* Foster a positive, fair, and dignified working environment, championing equality of opportunity both in the workplace and in service delivery.
* Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, in alignment with the Council’s Customer Commitments. Represent the organization at external meetings and forums as needed, such as the South West Councils Safety Panels.
* Serve as the first point of contact for staff regarding HSW-related queries and concerns.
* Draft, review, and revise HSW-related documentation and guidance as required.


Summary:

This is a Temp, full time role, working a 37 hour week over 5 days

The role requires a satisfactory Basic DBS check.
