Role Overview
As a Senior Project Manager you will lead the delivery of various highways and infrastructure projects for our client in Norfolk. Based in Norwich, you will be part of a highly collaborative Local Government team and link with resources across WSP nationwide.
Responsibilities
* Own and lead the financial project management process, encouraging teams to deliver the right solutions and mentoring less experienced staff.
* Manage projects to ensure coordination of multi‑disciplinary inputs.
* Prioritise client satisfaction by building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and colleagues.
* Manage resources effectively (including remote resources) to meet fluctuating workloads.
* Work with clients and design teams to deliver compliant designs on time and within budget, meeting H&S, CDM, QA and technical review requirements.
* Develop relationships with other WSP teams to utilise additional resources.
* Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
* Coordinate between project team members to deliver projects on time, to budget and to the agreed quality standard.
* Grow the Project Management team within Norfolk to accommodate other disciplines.
* Develop project management plans including scope, baseline programme, fee estimate, roles, risk analysis, technical review requirements and manage progress meetings.
* Produce project controls reports to meet client and business requirements.
* Carry out change control, including value engineering and value management.
* Develop, maintain, and implement stakeholder management plans.
* Ensure invoicing and cash collection is undertaken in accordance with business process and procedures.
Qualifications
* Experience within the services sector in project management, business administration, and financial planning.
* Experience managing a range of project management activities, systems (including ERP), and processes.
* Experience managing project management teams with line management experience.
* Good understanding of commercial and financial project management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Experience in project and resource management with good financial and commercial awareness.
* Knowledge of Construction Design Management 2015 and associated duties.
* Knowledge of NEC 4 qualification desirable.
