About The Role
As an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Planning and implementing the kinds of activities that will delight our Residents is part of what you will do. You will also help the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events. Whether you are encouraging Residents to socialise more, creating new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or getting the rest of the care home team involved, you will do so with a sense of kindness above all else.
We are looking for someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally with experience developing activity programmes. In addition, you should have great planning, organisational and IT skills and be able to manage your time effectively. Your communication with Residents or co-workers should be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You will need to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if there are concerns, attend safeguarding training, and seek appropriate advice or report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
