We are currently recruiting for a Tax Accountant to join a well-established professional services firm. This role involves end-to-end support in the tax return process, working closely with senior stakeholders and partners. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of personal tax, excellent organisational skills, and familiarity with relevant software tools.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of UK tax returns for self-employed partners.
Prepare and review personal tax returns with a high level of accuracy.
Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to gather necessary financial data.
Use commercial tax software (ideally Digita, although training will be provided if familiar with a similar platform).
Extract relevant tax information from the HMRC Government Gateway (e.g., payments, liabilities, and filing history).
Ensure all submissions are completed in line with current tax legislation and deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience preparing personal tax returns, preferably for self-employed individuals.
Ideally ATT qualified; CTA qualification is advantageous but not essential.
Proficient in using tax return preparation software.
Strong understanding of UK tax laws and compliance requirements.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
Confident communicator, able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Previous experience within a law firm or similar professional services environment is desirable but not essential
