Essential Job Functions
1. Ability to load / lash / secure Sea Feight Containers in line with regulations
2. Ability and certification to use general warehouse MHE Counter balance forklift truck Reach forklift truck Manual Pallet Trucks Other equipment as introduced
3. Manual Handling – correct and proper adherence to H&S guidelines
4. Wearing suitable PPE as directed by job function
5. Protecting other staff and visitors by following correct H&S processes/procedures
6. Material Receipt processing – quantity checks / net weigh of product
7. RF scanning using CWW warehouse management system (C2C)
8. Correct following of process in handling ETFS and other HMRC controlled goods
9. Housekeeping of the warehouse to a high standard
10. Picking orders to 100% picking accuracy
11. Checking cargo on receipt for damages / theft and escalating to management as necessary
Work Experience and Education
12. Aviation Security
13. Knowledge of dangerous goods handling
14. 3 years industry experience at a similar level
Other Skills & Abilities
15. Computer Literate
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web based and job specific software applications
17. Ability to work under pressure
18. Good communication skills
19. Good written and numerical skills
Physical Requirements
20. Stand or sit for long periods of time.
21. Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance
22. Regularly lift and/or move 25 kilo and occasionally lift and/or move 25 kilo by hand
23. Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless the product being stored requires that the maintenance of a specific temperature.
24. Ability to drive a forklift- and/or Reach truck and become certified by Crane Worldwide
