Overview
Derbyshire County Council is seeking an ambitious, forward thinking property leader to takeon a pivotal senior role as Assistant Director for Estate Strategy & Development.This is a rare opportunity to influence how a major public sector estate supports communities,frontline services and the local economy. You will provide strategic leadership acrossestate management, asset strategy and property development, overseeing a diverse andhigh value portfolio.
Responsibilities
You will shape and deliver the Council’s Asset Management Strategy, ensuring land andbuildings are fit for purpose, future focused and financially sustainable. The role includessponsoring major capital projects, leading transformation programmes and overseeingcomplex estates activity such as acquisition, disposal, valuation and development all withinthe context of transformation change in local government, in the form of LGR.
Working closely with elected Members, senior leaders and external partners, you will playavisible role within the Council’s extended leadership team, helping to drive corporate priorities,organisational change and sound financial and estate development acumen.
