A lovely Primary School in Somerset is looking for a Year 1 Teacher to start after the Easter holidays to support with a MAT cover role. Although you will be hired to work across Term 5 & 6 there is a potential to stay on in September.
This school has a curriculum aiming to help our children grow in every way – not just academically but in their individuality and uniqueness. As a 1 form entry school, they staff work closely with the parents to support individual learning.
The Role
This is a Full-Time position available. The Head Teacher is looking for someone with previous experience working as a KS1 or EYFS Teacher and holds really strong behaviour management and curriculum knowledge.
Working within a classroom of 25 pupils, supported by a class TA too, there is a lot of opportunity to plan and deliver lessons to your expectations.
You will be expected to:
* Able to plan and deliver strong, high quality lessons.
* Assess children’s development and differentiate to meet the needs of each child.
* Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
* Have previous experience in KS1.
* Work collaboratively with a class Teaching Assistant
