Smart Education is seeking a resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in an alternative SEN provision in Middlesbrough. You will work with students aged with various needs, including SEMH, MLD, ADHD, and BESD.

What You'll Be Doing:
1. Supporting students with challenging behaviour in a nurturing, structured environment
2. Helping learners develop confidence, independence, and life skills
3. Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to deliver targeted support
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with SEN students in schools, PRUs, or alternative provisions
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* At least 6 months of relevant experience
* A valid Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce) or willingness to apply
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Ability to work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, SENDCOs, and external agencies to implement support strategies
